🚀 New Features

  • Interactions
    • Added: System support for continuous rotators and sliders - will keep emitting while the object is held.
    • System support for infinite rotators - can be rotated forever, emitting a delta.
    • Added: "Stepped" rotators and sliders. When interacted with in Fynd CORE the rotator or slider will snap to predetermined positions.
    • Added: System support for sliders and rotators moving on multiple axes.
    • Added: System support for "Hold to press" buttons. When interacted with in Fynd CORE the button will depress when released.
    • Buttons can support a new custom animation interaction.
    • Added: New button group component in system - for interconnected sets of buttons.
    • Added: System support for snap zones to be built into scenes.
    • Spawned objects support custom context menus and button behaviors, enabling new functionalities.
  • Animation system
    • Animated objects can optionally be synced across users and participants, ensuring a unified multiplayer experience in Fynd CORE.
    • System support for swapping between animation clips, play/pause and animation speed.
  • Scenario builder & player
    • When a user chooses to "Skip" an Action during a scenario it results in the system attempting to perform the Action - for example pushing a button.
    • Improvement: Selected Action node in the scenario builder will highlight the nodes related "selected object in scene".
    • Added: "Play from here" context button on Situation nodes.
    • Experimental support for using variables in the Action node, enabling more complexity in training scenarios.
  • UI/UX
    • Design improvements to VR wrist menu for improved readability when playing through scenarios - including new icons, font size, contrasting background and some color options.
    • Added: "Skip" button to mobile UI while a scenario is playing.
    • Updated: Adjusted UI joysticks on Android mobile, allowing the user to move and turn faster.
  • VR controls
    • Precision movement: Precise body movement with VR controller. Activated by pressing the "grab" and "trigger" buttons, then tilt the joystick. Click the joystick to change modes.
    • Precision rotation: Enables the user to control small rotators with the joystick on their controller. Activate by bringing your index finger close while in precision mode, then rotate the joystick.
  • PC controls
    • Double click on an interactive slider or rotator object in Fynd CORE to snap it to its limit.
    • While grabbing a slider or rotator in Fynd CORE, use mouse scroll wheel to move them.
  • Miscellaneous
    • Preliminary support for Varjo XR-4 VR headsets. Separate build.

 

🔧 Various Improvements

  • Interactions
    • Fixed: Issue with "Grab/Ungrab" logic in spawned objects.
    • Stability improvements to snap zones.
  • Scenario system
    • Fixed: Issue with scenarios containing only a single Textbox node not being able to play
    • Fixed: Error when loading a new project while already playing one.
  • UI/UX
    • Fixed: Issue where VR controller triggers also sent click events to desktop UI when connected to PC.
    • Fixed: Stability issues when in "App selection" screen in Fynd CORE.
    • Fixed: Ensure status indicators in Action Group UI update correctly.
    • Added: Text color support added on more nodes.
  • VR
    • Updated: Precision mode simplified to activate when "grab" button is pressed.
  • Settings
    • Updated: Audio system backend for more stable audio management, improving functionality for the Ambience and SFX volume sliders in the settings menu.
  • Misc
    • Updates to debugging tools for better bug handling.
    • Address issue with 3D drawing tool only rendering on one eye on some platforms.
    • General performance improvements to Fynd CORE.
    • Security updates to Fynd CORE and web services.
    • Reduced startup time for Fynd CORE on Android mobile.

🐞Known Issues

  • Issue with snap zones in situation nodes. Sometimes, if a snap zone is saved as snapped in the Situation, it will lose the connection and unsnap the object.
  • It is not possible to write Japanese text in text fields directly. Instead you have to paste it in.
